To ensure staff safety and health, and reassure public hygiene of our operations, Royal Plaza Hotel has always maintained high hygiene standards. Our hotel successfully obtained Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED™ with Forbes Travel Guide in June 2021. The comprehensive verification covers more than 360 standards across:

Health and hygiene protocols
Cleaning products and procedures
Ventilation
Physical distancing
Guest experience
Health safety communication with staff and guests

Royal Plaza Hotel has also obtained the certificate of “Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme” by The Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) in mid-December 2021, the criteria of this scheme including the high standard of the following aspects:

Personally hygiene procedures of staff and guests,
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) air filter cleaning process and records,
Public area and guestrooms cleaning and records, and
Drainages checking and cleaning process

Under this scheme, we promise to ensure the cleanliness of guestrooms, public area and HVAC air filter. In addition, the design of our drainage system could prevent the siphon of sewage, which could prevent the spread of virus from the drainage system. Our hotel would also install UV disinfection system for our HVAC system in end March. We provide services at the highest hygienic standards for our guests and protect the health and safety of our staff.

Public Area Hygiene

Warm reminder: Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces e.g. furniture, toilet, bath room and floor to kill virus at least daily by using 1:99 household bleach, wait until dry and then rinse with water.

We strive to safeguard your health by maintaining high hygiene standards. Our housekeeping team works hard to keep hotel public areas clean every day such as increasing cleaning frequency of public places such as lifts and public facilities, placing hand rub facilities on guest room floors and public areas and refill the disinfectant regularly. Be care-free during your stay with us!

Home Hygiene

Be aware of home cleaning to keep you and your family healthy, such as maintaining good indoor ventilation, cleaning the air conditioner filter regularly, and keeping kitchen and bathroom drains filled with water.

To fight against Novel Coronavirus Epidemic (official named: CODIV-19), we provide extra personal protective equipment every day such as helmets, goggles, gloves, shoe covers and surgical masks for our Engineering team recently to ensure their safety and protection.

Thank you, our Engineering team, for paying great effort to maintain hygienic ventilation and drainage systems, performing daily maintenance and cleaning of systems so that every guest is comfortable with the accommodation.
