1. Does Royal Plaza Hotel require to place a deposit upon check-in?
No deposit is required for stays under 7 days. For stays of 7 days of more, a HK$2,000 deposit for incidentals is required upon check-in, in addition to the room charge.
2. What do I need to bring for check-in at Royal Plaza Hotel?
Please present the original receipt and your identification card upon check-in.
3. Is there a minimum age requirement for checking in at Royal Plaza Hotel?
Guests must be at least 18 years old to check-in. Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
4. Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out at Royal Plaza Hotel?
After check-out, guests may store their luggage at the Concierge free of charge until 23:00 on the same day.
5. Is late check-in available for guests arriving after midnight?
Royal Plaza Hotel Front Desk operates 24 hours a day. You will be warmly welcomed regardless of your arrival time.
6. What are the check-in and check-out times of Royal Plaza Hotel?
Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 11:00. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.
7. Is late check-out available at Royal Plaza Hotel, and how do I request it?
Our check-out time is 11:00. Late check-out requests are subject to room availability. A half-day supplement will apply for check-out until 18:00 and a full-day charge (based on the prevailing room rate) will apply for check-out after 18:00. Please contact the Front Desk in advance to make a request.
8. Are taxes, incidental charges, and service fees included in Royal Plaza Hotel’s room rates?
The room rates do not include taxes, incidental charges, or the 10% service fee. All prices are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed. Effective 1 January 2025, room rates will also be subject to a 3% Hotel Accommodation Tax (HAT), as mandated by the Hong Kong Hotel Accommodation Tax Ordinance (Cap. 348).
9. Is advance payment required when making a direct reservation with Royal Plaza Hotel?
For refundable reservations, full room charges will not be charged until the time of check-out or in the event of a cancellation. However, to guarantee the room reservation, we will obtain one night’s room fee or full payment as an advance deposit.
For non-refundable reservations, full room charges will be charged to your credit card at the time of reservation. Please contact us for reservation and payment enquiries. If your reservation is made via other channels, please contact your agent directly.
10. Do you offer self check-in, check-out or smart services?
Royal Plaza Hotel features a smart Guest Services Robot that enhances the check-in experience by offering a fast and convenient self-service option. Guests are able to complete check-in, check-out, make payments, and collect their room key within minutes, helping to reduce waiting time and provide a seamless, contactless arrival experience while still having our team available for assistance when needed.

1. What in-room amenities are provided at Royal Plaza Hotel?
Complimentary tea and coffee facilities, including a kettle, mugs, and water glasses, are provided in your room. Fresh towels (bath and hand towels) are replenished daily alongside standard toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush with toothpaste, slippers, and hairdryer. 2. What kind of plug do you use in Hong Kong? Does Royal Plaza Hotel provide a travel adaptor?
All guest rooms are equipped with USB and Type C sockets. The household voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts with British Standard plug. Royal Plaza Hotel does not provide plug adaptors or transformers. According to the Electricity Ordinance (Hong Kong Law No. 406) and the Electrical Products (Safety) Regulation, all household electrical products supplied in Hong Kong must comply with safety standards. Guests can purchase adaptors from the vending machine at the hotel lobby on level 1.
3. Can I add an extra bed to the room at Royal Plaza Hotel?
You can request an extra bed that is chargeable at HK$495 plus 13% per room per night. Some room types (e.g., Deluxe Family Rooms) cannot accommodate extra beds; please check with our Reservations Department before booking.
4. Are baby cots available at Royal Plaza Hotel?
A baby cot can be provided free of charge for infants aged 3 or below, subject to advance request and availability. Please email to resvn@royalplaza.com.hk to arrange before check-in.
5. What bedding or pillow options are available at Royal Plaza Hotel?
Royal Plaza Hotel provides feather pillows and foam pillows. Hypoallergenic bed linens and duvet covers are also available upon request. To make these arrangements, please contact the Housekeeping Department at extension 26.
6. Does Royal Plaza Hotel provide free plastic toiletries?
In compliance with the Hong Kong Government’s regulation on disposable plastics (effective from 22 April 2024), Royal Plaza Hotel no longer provides free plastic bottled water, razors, shower caps, and other disposable plastic items. To support sustainability, guest rooms are equipped with water purifiers providing high-quality filtered drinking water. If needed, related items can be purchased at the hotel lobby.
7. Does Royal Plaza Hotel provide shower caps in the room?
In compliance with the Hong Kong Government’s single-use plastics regulation (effective from 22 April 2024), Royal Plaza Hotel no longer provides complimentary shower caps in guest rooms. Should you require one, shower caps are available for purchase from the vending machine located next to the elevator lobby on the level 1.
8. Is iron available in the room at Royal Plaza Hotel?
Selected guest rooms are equipped with an iron and ironing board for your convenience. Should your room not have one, or if you require an additional set, please contact our Housekeeping Department at extension 26.
9. Can I request a room with a bathtub at Royal Plaza Hotel?
Most of the guest rooms at Royal Plaza Hotel are equipped with a bathtub. Some room types, such as our family rooms, feature both a bathtub and a separate standing shower. These arrangements can be requested in advance through our Reservations Department.
10. What is the bed size in the Plaza Deluxe Family Room?
The Plaza Deluxe Family Room features two double beds (1.5 meters each).
11. What is the bed size in the Plaza Premier Family Plus Room?
The Plaza Premier Family Plus Room features one double bed (1.8 meters) and two single beds (1 meter each).
12. Does Royal Plaza Hotel offer connecting rooms for families?
Yes. Connecting rooms are available at Royal Plaza Hotel, perfect for families or groups who wish to stay close together. As connecting rooms are limited, we recommend requesting them at the time of booking so our team can do their best to accommodate your preference.

Yes. Registered guests can enjoy complimentary access to the outdoor swimming pool on Level 8. This 40-meter temperature-controlled pool is enhanced with underwater music for added enjoyment. The pool is open daily from 07:00 to 21:00. It closes for deep cleaning between 11:00 to 12:00 and 17:00 to 18:00.
3. Does Royal Plaza Hotel have a fitness center?
Yes. Registered guests can enjoy complimentary access to the Health Club, while an entrance fee applies to external visitors. The Health Club on level 8 features a gymnasium, sauna, steam bath, and massage services. The fully equipped gym allows guests to enjoy a complete workout and towels are provided free of charge.
4. Is the swimming pool at Royal Plaza Hotel indoor or outdoor? What are its length and depth? Is it heated?
Royal Plaza Hotel features an outdoor heated swimming pool, with 40 meters in length and 1.5 meters in depth. The water temperature is maintained at approximately 28°C.

Royal Plaza Hotel offers a full range of laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing services for your convenience. For laundry items collected before 10:00 will be returned on the same day around 19:00. Items received after 10:00 will be returned on the next day around 19:00.

Yes, hotel guests can order food delivery to Royal Plaza Hotel. For security and hygiene reasons, third-party delivery personnel are not permitted to access guest room floors. Guests must collect their orders in person from the designated food delivery counter on Level 1.
To protect your interests, please collect your order promptly upon delivery. The delivery counter is provided for temporary convenience only. Royal Plaza Hotel shall not be liable for any compensation in the event that an order is lost, damaged, or stolen.

Royal Plaza Hotel currently does not offer complimentary airport shuttle service. However, there are several convenient transportation options available for your journey from the airport to the hotel. Kindly refer to the details below for your reference.
After clearing customs, please follow the signs in the airport to the Airport Express Station, located in the center of the Arrivals Hall. Upon arrival at Kowloon Station, you may take a public taxi to the hotel, the fare is approximately HK$100 per trip per car, and the journey takes around 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you may take the MTR from Kowloon Station to Mong Kok East Station, which is just a 3-minutes walk from the hotel.
